Rolling in to the 2014 season, Cliff’s Amusement Park in sunny Albuquerque, New Mexico, needed a beautiful, new, easily-editable site to help it sell tickets and put smiles on the faces of New Mexico families.
Cornershop worked quickly to migrate the park from it’s old Dreamweaver site into a custom-built WordPress site, chock-full of Cliff’s colorful photos and signature fun.
The theme’s custom homepage carousel is easily edited by Cliff’s staff, and the new “What’s New” content type allows Cliff’s staff to easily post news flashes, special deals, and weather alerts. Speaking of weather, folks from Albuquerque know that you’ve always got to keep your eyes on the skies for lightning and thunder, so we added a custom widget on the homepage which tracks the weather so park guests know what to expect.
To keep everyone in the loop, we linked the park’s “Join Our Fun Club” email field with its preexisting Mailchimp Account, and to reduce maintenance while still keeping park-goers informed, we embedded the park’s Google Calendar of season hours so that the site is super easy to update, and super usable for visitors.
