The Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Savannah(CCCS) is an organization dedicated to reducing debt and promoting other healthy financial habits through counseling and education.
When CCCS reached out to Cornershop for nonprofit website services, they were concerned with how outdated and difficult to manage their site had become. The two main focus areas were a new look for the website as well as a brand voice update. Our first step was to conduct a full audit of their content and develop a new brand voice based on our observations.
Along with this, a large focus of our work was on SEO and site map development, all of which lead into our restructuring of the content with a new sitemap and involving the clients in a Writing for the Web and SEO workshop so they would be able to take the reins on their new website in terms of content.
Following our work on their content, we focused on developing their new website with a modern look and pages that were easy-to-update. We used Blocksy as well as the built-in WordPress Block Editor putting a large emphasis on accessibility and integrating their social media with the site to connect their overall online presence.
