GLAD Law works through strategic litigation, public policy advocacy and education to create a just society, free of discrimination based on gender identity and expression, HIV status, and sexual orientation. Their original site was difficult to update and we partnered with them to give them a refresh and upgrade.
We redesigned GLAD Law’s new custom nonprofit website to be more intuitive, user-friendly, and overall have better information architecture. That goal included improving the editing and updating experience on the back end and helping users find the information they’re searching for more easily on the front end.
We focused on two specific features: ‘Search by State or Issue’ and Timeline Events. The former focused on providing relevant content and information based on their issue and location. For the latter, visitors can now use the search function to find information on particular issues or events in GLAD Law’s history.
