Congregation Beth David is an inclusive synagogue in California that welcomes everyone: families, singles, seniors, young adults, interfaith couples, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. When they came to Cornershop, their website no longer reflected the vibrancy of their community or the breadth of what they offer. It was time for something that did.
A Fresh Design That Reflects Their Values
We built the new site using TheGem theme and WP Bakery page builder, giving the team flexibility to bring Congregation Beth David’s visual identity to life. The result is a clean, modern site that feels as welcoming as the community it represents. Every design decision was made with their diverse audience in mind, from the layout and navigation to the overall look and feel.
Bringing Order to a Busy Event Calendar
For a synagogue with as many programs and events as Congregation Beth David, calendar functionality wasn’t a nice-to-have. It was essential. We built a custom solution that merges multiple calendars into one unified view, giving visitors a clear, at-a-glance overview of everything happening across the congregation. It simplified the experience for community members and made event coordination significantly easier for staff.
Making It Easy for Everyone to Find Their Way
A beautiful design only goes so far if visitors can’t find what they need. Our content team worked through the site architecture to create a user-friendly structure that works for everyone, regardless of how comfortable they are navigating online. We also migrated content from their previous site, supplementing it with updated and new additions to make sure the launch felt complete and cohesive from day one.
A Partnership That Continues After Launch
The relationship didn’t end at launch. Congregation Beth David joined our ongoing WordPress maintenance and support plan, which means Cornershop continues to keep their site secure, stable, and up to date. It’s a partnership we’re happy to sustain, and a site we’re proud to keep running well.
