Brightside St. Louis is on a mission to improve the quality of life in the St. Louis, Missouri community. They educate, engage and inspire St. Louisans to make the region cleaner, greener, and more environmentally sustainable – from graffiti removal, to a sustainable demonstration garden, to their daffodils that bloom all over town.
Our team loves getting to work with Brightside on an ongoing basis as one of our retainer clients, taking technical and marketing pieces off their team’s plate so that they can focus more attention on their mission.
Brightside supporters use their website to volunteer, donate, get info about upcoming events, and sign up to run their own cleanup projects. But with an old site that was not mobile friendly, supporters had a hard time taking all of those actions on their preferred device – their phones.
With more than half their traffic coming from mobile devices, Brightside was losing out on opportunities to connect with its community without a mobile friendly website.
As a retainer client with our team, we were able to help them overhaul their website to ensure they were not missing out on these important opportunities to engage their audience. Using their monthly allotment of hours, we were able to make their website not just mobile friendly, but mobile-optimized!
Once their website was more mobile-friendly, our collaborative focus in 2023 was to increase traffic to the site and donations/sales across the board. To do so, we implemented a number of content updates for the donation and other pages across the site during the year to take advantage of special events and holidays.
We look forward to continuing our work and implementing new strategies to support and maintain their site and help Brightside St. Louis’ now more user-friendly and accessible website bring in more donations, educate more people, and mobilize more volunteers to help create a more beautiful, green, and environmentally sustainable St. Louis.
