Expanding Into Paid Ads for Membership Growth
Most recently, we approached Tinkercast with the idea of running a free paid ads pilot to test whether Google Ads could effectively grow paid memberships while maintaining a positive return on ad spend. Tinkercast agreed, and we launched a focused testing phase built around performance measurement and long-term scalability.
Early on, we identified and resolved several conversion tracking issues, ensuring that every signup and purchase could be accurately measured. Once tracking was fixed, clear performance trends began to emerge. Based on these early results, we recommended continuing to test and refine the paid ads strategy.
Tinkercast chose to move forward with paid ads, and by December the strategy began to pay off in a meaningful way. The campaigns achieved a 248% return on ad spend (ROAS), followed by a 191% ROAS in January, demonstrating sustained performance across months. Since launching paid ads, Tinkercast’s campaigns have generated 1.5 million impressions and more than 50,000 clicks, significantly expanding reach and visibility among parents actively searching for educational content.
Measurable SEO Growth and Clear Reporting
Over the past year, our SEO efforts have delivered measurable gains. Tinkercast has seen a 45% increase in overall search visibility and a 25% increase in ranked keywords, including both branded and non-branded terms. We’re continuing to work toward a 35% increase in organic search traffic, supported by ongoing optimization and content improvements.
To support internal decision-making, we also refined Tinkercast’s SEO dashboard to reflect the metrics that matter most to their team. The result is clearer reporting that’s easy to share internally and use for strategic planning.
