The Arizona Food Bank Network (AzFBN) is a coalition of five regional food banks and almost 1,000 food pantries and agencies, working to address hunger in Arizona.
Arizona Food Bank Network(AzFBN) is a group of regional food banks and pantries across Arizona dedicated to addressing hunger in the state. They originally reached out to us to create a new website as their site at the time was outdated and they’d rebranded as well, so they were looking for a new custom site that could be designed and built to showcase their new focus and reinforce their mission.
Our recommendations included a new sitemap, content assistance, and a map to locate local food resources. The sitemap we created was designed to improve their content organization and make it easier for their visitors to find the information and help they need. In addition, we made sure to run the new sitemap through a tree testing process to confirm that it would work for their visitors.
We also provided content assistance on several pages, aimed at providing their clients with the information they needed and displaying that information in a responsive format. Developed using Map Facet, the map feature implemented on the site enabled those in Arizona to search by zip code and see in detail where a food bank near them was located.
The new website is designed to uplift and facilitate their work through raising awareness about hunger within the state, coordinating large food donations between food banks, and providing further resources and education to those in need.
