Launching a Rebrand on a Tight Timeline for the International Youth Foundation

When the International Youth Foundation (IYF) contacted us in October 2025, they were in the middle of a major organizational rebrand—and facing an immovable deadline. Their new website needed to launch by Thanksgiving, just six weeks away, to align with a refreshed brand identity and the release of their annual impact report.

IYF works with more than 600 local organizations and global corporate partners, and their website needed to reflect the scale and credibility of that impact. At the time, their digital presence lived on a sprawling Drupal site with more than 2,000 pages, a newly approved logo, and content that included youth voices, program data, and global initiatives. They needed a nonprofit web design partner who could move fast, collaborate closely with an external designer, and deliver a scalable site without compromising quality.

Strategy, Migration, and Content Focus

We approached this project as an intensive, fast-track redesign, running multiple phases in parallel to meet the deadline. While IYF’s external designer created mockups using Blocksy theme templates we provided, our development team began a programmatic migration from Drupal to WordPress.

Rather than recreating the entire 2,000-page site, we worked with the IYF team to distill their content into 20–30 high-impact core pages that serve their primary audiences: donors, funders, and strategic partners. We collaborated on content strategy to determine what should be migrated, archived, or restructured, ensuring the new site was focused, navigable, and future-ready.

To showcase IYF’s work clearly, we built custom post types for initiatives, programs, and youth voices—highlighting real stories and measurable impact while keeping the content easy for staff to manage.

Fast, Flexible Technical Execution

The technical build required both speed and sophistication. We developed the new site in WordPress using the Blocksy theme and implemented key features to support global engagement and fundraising:

  • FundraiseUp integration for streamlined online donations
  • Faceted search to explore programs by geography and focus area
  • An interactive global map highlighting where IYF works worldwide
  • Migration of staff profiles, partner highlights, and multimedia content, including video testimonials produced by an Emmy Award–winning filmmaker

Despite the aggressive timeline, we successfully launched the site in early December 2025, meeting IYF’s seasonal giving goals. We continued refining the site through January with additional design and layout enhancements for key sections such as program archives, initiative pages, and the “Get Involved” experience.

A Modern Platform Built for Global Impact

What makes this project stand out is how a six-week timeline became a successful rebrand launch through clear prioritization, collaborative problem-solving, and daily communication. By working in lockstep with IYF’s designer and internal team, we delivered a modern, dynamic nonprofit website that reflects the energy, scale, and urgency of their mission.

Today, the International Youth Foundation has a digital platform that matches its global impact—featuring video, motion, and clear pathways for corporations, foundations, and governments to partner with them. We continue to support IYF through a monthly retainer focused on marketing strategy and ongoing site enhancements, helping them build on a strong digital foundation for long-term growth.
