Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) works to help animals and the people who love them by providing veteran services, care programs and workshops, financial assistance, and rescue adoption services. What a mission to be able to support! They had us at the cute puppy photos, and seeing the impactful work they do in their community was the icing on the cake.
ARF was in a pickle since their website was no longer supported, and they weren’t able to make updates or fixes themselves. They contacted the Cornershop team to build a new website that their team would be able to update and manage, with the addition of a fun design and plenty of helpful features to make their work easier.
We built the new website using Crate theme, the WordPress Block Editor, and features through the WordPress Full Site Editor. The new site has a fresh and lively color palette, along with some really helpful integrations including:
- A custom donation widget that pre-populates donation amounts and takes visitors to an Engaging Networks form to complete their donation.
- An API feed of adoptable pets.
- A veteran portal that is built using Restrict Content Pro. ARF does a lot of great work with veterans, and having this password-protected portal helps them connect veterans with educational materials, service animal adoption assistance, and National Partners.
But what good is a website if your supporters have trouble actually using it? We conducted usability testing and helped ARF create a streamlined navigation so that supporters are able to easily find what they need and use the website features as intended.
Once the site was built, our team helped out with content migration to fill the site with their helpful website copy and adorable photos and format them in visually appealing ways. We then optimized the site and its content for search engines so that those looking for relevant information can find it out in the Wild West that is Google search.
