A New Website Built to Connect Arizonans With the Food Resources They Need
Arizona Food Bank Network (AzFBN) is a statewide network of regional food banks and pantries dedicated to addressing hunger across Arizona. When they came to Cornershop, their existing site was outdated and no longer reflected who they were. A recent rebrand had given the organization a sharper focus and a renewed sense of mission, and their website needed to catch up. They needed a custom site that could showcase their work, serve their communities, and support the coordination happening behind the scenes.
Rethinking the Site Structure to Help People Find Help Faster
Before diving into design or development, we focused on getting the foundation right. We developed a new sitemap designed to improve content organization and make it easier for visitors, whether they’re individuals seeking food assistance, donors, or partner organizations, to find exactly what they need without friction.
To make sure the new structure would actually work for real users, we ran it through a tree testing process. This validated the navigation logic before a single page was built, giving the AzFBN team confidence that the site would serve their audience effectively from day one.
Building a Food Bank Locator That Works for Every Community
One of the most important features on the new site is the food resource locator. Built using FacetWP and Map Facet, the interactive map allows anyone in Arizona to search by zip code and find nearby food banks and pantries with detailed location information. For someone in need, that kind of quick, clear access to local resources can make a real difference.
The tool is simple to use and built to scale as AzFBN’s network grows, making it a long-term asset for the organization and the communities they serve.
Content That Informs, Supports, and Empowers
We also provided content assistance across several key pages, helping AzFBN communicate clearly with a range of audiences. Whether speaking to individuals seeking help, organizations looking to donate, or community partners coordinating resources, the content was shaped to be direct, accessible, and displayed in a responsive format that works across devices.
A Platform Built to Support a Statewide Hunger Relief Mission
The finished site does more than look good. It actively supports AzFBN’s work by raising awareness about hunger in Arizona, making it easier to coordinate large food donations between member banks, and connecting people in need with the resources and education available to them. It’s a digital platform built around real impact, designed to grow alongside the organization and the communities depending on them.
