When their team reached out to us, Bay Ed Fund was using a placeholder site on Squarespace that didn’t meet the needs of their organization or their community. The design and content layout weren’t up to their standards, key landing pages for their community approach and details on their approach to improving public education were missing, and they didn’t have the site infrastructure in place to build out a dedicated donation page. We knew just the way to create their new site was to start with all new designs, a layout customized for their content, a well developed content migration plan to bring their content over to the new site, and custom animation and video elements to highlight their most important content.
Our first priority was to finalize the page design and content layout templates that would allow them to visualize the look and feel of their new site, as well as ensure that they and future team members are able to update and expand on the site without issue. Since much of their content is image-focused, we made our design decisions with that in mind, allowing there to be equal focus between text and image to bring their full vision of the site to life.
Bringing their content over from the old site involved molding it to the new design and layout, which, combined with the custom animation and video elements, made for a tougher content migration process. But it was all worth it to place the right emphasis on their videos and the main points of their content to get their visitors and supporters the correct information and encourage them to take action to help Bay Area public schools.
In the end, the transformation of the Bay Ed Fund’s website was about more than just aesthetics—it was about building a platform that truly reflects the heart of their mission. By crafting a custom design, implementing thoughtful content layouts, and incorporating engaging multimedia elements, we helped create a digital home that not only informs and inspires but also empowers visitors to get involved. Now, the Bay Ed Fund has a website that matches the strength of their vision—one that supports their ongoing efforts to uplift public education in the Bay Area and connects more effectively with the community they serve.
