Canine Companions enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support.
We migrated their Luminate Online site into WordPress. They didn’t need a brand new website design, but they did need easier access and control over their content and editing options. After building a custom WordPress design to match the Canine Companions original site design, we installed Elementor Pro as their content editor.
We moved their content from their old site and organized their articles into distinct post types for events, people, news, and stories so that they could be easily sorted and searched using faceted search. We also built a new custom role for “Puppy Raiser Coordinator” permissions to restrict some users to content specifically from their region, and created custom landing pages for their chapter pages and for Gala fundraising pages.
The Canine Companions team is now able to more easily edit their content, and we look forward to continuing our work with them as they update their new website with integrations for Pardot email engagement and OneCause fundraising forms.
Update: We were pretty excited when Canine Companions came back to Cornershop for their rebrand! The whole website needed to be updated with the new brand elements, and they needed it done quickly! We did the redesign using the branding guide and mockups they provided, which were a big help with the tight timeline. We also added an accessible tab list using the Unlimited Elements plugin.
Along with the full rebrand, we also migrated the community site from the old host over to Pantheon, and migrated the Puppy Blog from a separate domain to the Stories page on the main website. We completed the blog migration by adding subscription functionality using the Better Notifications plugin and add-ons.
