American University Giving Day is a 36 hour annual fundraising event that includes several match challenges throughout the event, as well as challenges for students, staff and specific colleges.
The folks at American University (AU) contacted Cornershop to create a new WordPress microsite and an Engaging Networks P2P campaign to use for their annual Giving Day Event. They were looking for a clean, colorful, engaging design that was simple to understand and fun for participants.
Cornershop delivered by building a microsite in WordPress using the Blocksy theme and custom PHP templates. The site features bold automated donation tracking meters and countdown clocks, gift matching opportunities, and a leaderboard to foster fun competition. The custom-built Engaging Networks forms made it easy for donors to participate, and we added the needed customizations to the site to ensure it displayed just the way AU wanted it. We also used the information from their outsourced accessibility audit to make improvements that make the site accessible to as many participants as possible.
