Through organizing, policy advocacy, capacity building, and other services, the Los Angeles Worker Center Network builds upon over a decade of coordinated activities among the region’s worker centers to improve conditions in key low-wage industries. We jumped at the opportunity to help promote their work online.
Although the LA Worker Center Network had a long and impressive history under their belt, the organization did not have a website. They needed their own corner of the Internet to bring their community together and promote their important work improving conditions in key industries throughout Los Angeles.
Our team built them the perfect new home on the web: a WordPress website using the Blocksy theme. The new site is fairly simple, but includes some important extras that make life easier for users and their team internally. The website has faceted search to help visitors find what they need, custom post types to help certain content stand out, and a Zapier connection to keep their data clean and integrated.
Once the website was ready for content, their team jumped right in, instinctively comfortable achieving the look and layout they’d imagined in the new site.
Their first home online is easy for both their team and community to use — a big win for a first website!
