Although their old site was treating them well, it was starting to show its age as it became more outdated and difficult to edit. This was made especially obvious when it was time for a rebranding and revamp to meet new goals and demands of the NPPC team. So they decided to reach out to our team to create a nonprofit website that better highlights their expertise, state-specific information, and new branding that can serve their needs for years to come.

The biggest update we made was to overhaul the design of the site for their new branding. Since we used the full site editor(FSE), it’s an easily replicable theme and design that’s easy to understand and edit, which will make it easier for new NPPC team members as they come aboard to edit the site without significant challenges.

And we took the opportunity to update navigational issues as well for users, that together create a better functioning site all around. Along with rebranding the site and updating some design elements, we created a couple of custom features that enhance the usability on the site; the archive post block hover styles and the states map landing page.

The archive post block hover styles are not only a neat touch but are also user-friendly in that they allow users to get a small snippet of what an article or resource will be about without having to click on them. Since pensions can vary by industry, sector, and state, having well-defined state-based information available on their site is paramount. With the new states map landing page, which automatically fills in the states based on included post types, visitors can much more easily research information on pensions and the pension security coalition in their specific state.

As a whole, their new site is set for many years worth of updates, edits, and revisions that will benefit their team and visitors as defenders and advocates for public pensions across the country.
