Jersey Shore Hurricane News is an amazing and inspiring anomaly — a one-man, two-direction media outlet founded and successfully sustained solely on Facebook and Twitter. The site is the stuff of many a headscratching article: how does Justin Auciello do it?!

After building a community of 250,000 supporters, it was time for JSHN to grow into its own platform, away from (but still sustained by) Facebook. JSHN needed a community-oriented clearinghouse of Florida regional news; a place where the community could continue to grow, and where Florida regional news could be aggregated and shared freely.

We customized the Jupiter template to create a dynamic and ultimately mobile-friendly site, and plugged in Facebook commenting to make it easy for the JSHN audience to make the transition.
