Save Health Care in Washington is a non-profit grassroots advocacy program working with community health centers throughout Washington to expand access to affordable health care throughout the state.
The organization needed a beautiful new website and help maintaining its custom community health clinic database, which they use to create targeted messaging for specific legislators in Washington state.
We started with a high-quality, pre-built WordPress template, customized it, and integrated it with Salsa and the custom Symfony PHP database.
Our customers at SHCW worked hard to refresh their content and find fresh, new images before we moved it all into the new site. The clean design combined with their writing tone and great images brought color and vibrancy to the site and helped highlight the organization’s community focus.
Before we dug in to the database maintenance, we moved the new site to its own hosting account and created a subdomain for the database, which, along with some other hosting decisions, improved the performance and reliability of both platforms.
