Fairplay is an organization focused on raising children free from targeted marketing and shaping a childhood based on children’s needs rather than brands. They came to Cornershop with the idea of creating a way to highlight the ripple effects of bad digital design and in turn emphasize the importance of good digital design in contrast.
We created an interactive choose-your-own-adventure game for them that highlights these effects across families, schools, and communities by putting visitors in the designer’s seat to understand how one’s experience is the product of design choices.
Fairplay now has a platform to engage their visitors and help them understand how digital design can affect the wellbeing of users, and particularly, children. It can also be used as a tool to raise awareness of the negative effects of bad design and better spread the message and goals of their organization.
